List of largest Indian reservations in the United States





Here is a list of the 50 largest federally recognized Native American reservations in the United States by area. It includes all that are larger than 800 km² (300 sq. mi.). Area is defined as all areas included in Tribal Census Tracts by the Census Bureau, and includes water as well as land areas. Statistics are as of 1 April 2000, the date of the last census. These 50 reservations comprise 92.925% (271,087.96 km² of 291,729.22 km²) of all Native American territory in the United States, and 64.66% (610,621 of 944,317) of their resident population. There are 311 federally recognized reservations in 33 states, plus four joint use areas that are shared by members of their adjacent tribes. The two smallest reservations are the Seminole Trust Land in Broward County, Florida at 0.005175 km² (1.2788 acres), and the Likely Rancheria in Modoc County, California at 0.006236 km² (1.5409 acres).
