New Jersey Turnpike Titans

The New Jersey Turnpike Titans were an American semi-professional rugby league football team based in Jersey City, New Jersey. They competed in the USA Rugby League (USARL) in its inaugural 2011 season. They became inactive after the season.

History

New Jersey Turnpike Titans

The team was established in 2011 as a charter member of the new USA Rugby League, which was formed by teams that had broken with the established American National Rugby League (AMNRL). Along with Oneida FC and the Rhode Island Rebellion, they are one of three new teams to be joining the league. The club was originally to be named the New Jersey Knights, but adopted its current name before the season.

New Jersey ended the 2011 season in seventh place. After the season they went inactive and were replaced in the USARL lineup by the Baltimore Blues.
